About
Welcome to Kings Meadows High School.
At Kings Meadows High School, respectful relationships underpin our positive and diverse school culture. We commit to empowering our community to be aspirational, lifelong learners who are courageous and resilient. We achieve this through ensuring our students are:
Critical and creative thinkers;
Intrinsically motivated;
Effective communicators;
Empathetic citizens who act with integrity; and
Positive contributors to the local and global community.
Our work is underpinned by the Department of Education’s values of Aspiration, Growth, Courage and Respect and our core focuses are Respectful Schools and Positive School Culture and Quality Teaching and Learning.
Many of our buildings have recently been redeveloped, ensuring modern, spacious and well-designed learning spaces. We also have specialist facilities and areas for many subjects including a digital learning hub, a Materials, Design and Technology workshop, separate Art and Drama spaces, a large gymnasium, recently renovated kitchens and a vineyard situated at the rear of the school.
At Kings Meadows High School, we strive to provide interesting, varied programs that challenge all students to realise their full potential and achieve personal success in their learning. Along with core subjects and an extensive list of optional and enrichment courses, students are given many opportunities to engage in extra-curricular activities and undertake leadership roles.
In 2019, Kings Meadows High School will become a Year 11/12 Extension School. Initially, we will be providing a TASC subject Agricultural Enterprises Level 2 (AGR215117), specialising in the area of Viticulture. This will provide students with 15 credit points towards their TCE. Students who enrol in this subject will attend their Agricultural Enterprise classes at the Kings Meadows High School campus and undertake the rest of their studies at their chosen college campus. For students who would like to continue their studies in this growth industry, it is our intention to introduce the Agricultural Systems 3 (AGR315117) TASC course or a VET course in Viticulture from 2020.
