ActivAcre turns less productive farmland into a reliable source of income. ActivAcre is a local initiative - a flexible way to create new, steady income, improve existing farm business and enhance environmental outcomes. This is future-focused land management – a way to reawaken dormant assets; to re-energise under-used paddocks and hillsides. By diversifying traditional farming approaches, ActivAcre spreads risk. It secures additional, annual payments but doesn’t replace core farming activity with forestry. The income it generates gives farmers certainty in uncertain times by utilising low-value land that’s difficult to cultivate for crops or grazing.
